Rossi Conservation

Brand identity design for a textile conservationist based in Scotland.

(01) Creative Direction Concept

The clients business is all about the art of preserving historical textiles, so for this brand direction the client indicated she wanted a look and feel that reflected this. We both sourced imagery that encapsulated a handmade, natural look and feel.

Collection of vintage-style logos, labels, and illustrations related to textiles, farms, and rabbits, with a color palette featuring earthy tones like red, yellow, beige, and green.

(02) Logo Suite

The logo suite made use of a sheep as it’s key image (referencing the idea of textiles) along with flax (another textile material). This imagery was used throughout to create a flexible, vintage and historical look and feel for the Rossi brand.

Text graphic reading 'Revive the spirit of America' in brown font on a white background.

The palette is reminiscent of naturally occurring colours in nature - think trees, flowers and sheep.

(03) Colour Palette

A color palette chart showing ten different colors with their names, hex codes, CMYK, and RGB values. Colors include Rossi Red, Beige, Yellow, Gold, Blue, Peach, Pink, Sage Green, Dark Green, and Light Beige.

I picked typography that married the classic look of a serif with historical elements.

(04) Typography

Red background with large beige text 'ROSSI' at the top. Below, a yellow subtitle 'Headline' followed by smaller white text. The main text in large beige reads 'Preserving our threads to the past'. To the left, smaller yellow text 'Subheading' with white text, and smaller yellow text 'Body copy' with body text on the right section of the image.

(05) Brand Assets

For this mini-brand project two bits of brand assets were provided.
